Nii Nikoi Olai Amashie III
Asere Mantse
The Asere Paramountcy is led by His Royal Majesty Nii Nikoi Olai Amashie III, who holds the esteemed title of Asere Mantse.
As the leader of one of the largest and most historic divisions of the Ga State, which encompasses 52 distinct townships and villages, Nii Nikoi Olai Amashie III executes his leadership mandate in consultation with his council of elders from the ancestral Asere stool house located near Bukom in central Accra.
Leadership and Vision
Recently elevated to Paramount Chief status by the Ga Mantse, King Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Nii Amashie III represents a progressive era of traditional leadership. His reign is deeply focused on charting a “new path” for the Asere people—one centered on peace, unity, and socio-economic development.
He actively champions reconciliation, continuously urging his people to move past historical misunderstandings, eliminate parochial interests, and work collectively for the prosperity of the Ga State.
Commitment to Youth and Education
A cornerstone of Nii Nikoi Olai Amashie III’s leadership is the empowerment of the next generation. Recognizing education as the ultimate catalyst for development, he established the Asere Educational Fund.
Inspired by the financial struggles of a local medical student, this fund is dedicated to supporting the academic and professional aspirations of Asere’s youth, ensuring they have the resources to achieve their full potential and become future leaders for both the community and the country.
ASERE NIKOI OLAI FAMILY
The Nikoi Olai family was part of nomadic race whose original abode was somewhere in the present-day Middle East between the Tigris River and the Euphrates rivers. As a result of persecution due to religious and cultural practices these hared people migrated through present day Israel, the Sanai and settled around Goshen in upper Egypt. Their leader was a man called Nikoi Olai.
